Round Aquariums do not lose popularity for many years. This is due to their compactness, which allows you to place such an aquarium on any surface or to move it if necessary.
The volume of round aquariums rarely exceeds 25 liters, which is explained by the specific shape and therefore it is impossible to keep many fish in such an aquarium. But even small inhabitants need lighting, which is quite problematic to install on a round aquarium on their own. It is easier to immediately purchase an aquarium with equipment already built into it.
Another feature of round aquariums is that creating a sustainable environment in it is quite difficult and will require more time to leave than for a classical-shaped aquarium.
The small size and shape make it difficult to install equipment and its decoration.
If you are new to aquarism, it’s better to prefer a rectangular aquarium, the content of which is much simpler.
If you still stopped at a round aquarium, be sure to first plan its design. In order for the aquarium to become an interior decoration and to please the eye, it will take efforts to combine the equipment with decorative elements so that the pond looks harmonious.
Deciding to get a round pond, it is very important to first decide what fish you settle in. The modest volume and specificity of the form limits the choice of fish, as not all species will be comfortable in a round aquarium. The effect of the lens negatively affects the health of the fish and affects their lifespan.
In a round aquarium, you can populate catfish, guppies, neons, lyalius, cardinals, microassembly. In such an aquarium it is also possible to keep invertebrates – shrimps and snails, if there is a lid or cover glass. Do not overcrowd the aquarium, otherwise it will be difficult to maintain the biobalance in it.
The soil is laid in a layer of 5 cm, and the equipment required compressor, heater (if necessary) and the filter. To save the useful volume (space) inside the aquarium or if the mechanical internal filter does not fit the design and dimensions, you can use a false for round aquariums or a mounted filter of the "waterfall" type.
Do not forget that a round pond is not just a part of the interior, but, above all, a “home” for fish that require comfortable conditions for life.
